Lesson and Group Classes Scheduling Policy
Class Scheduling And Participation Policy
There is no need to preregister for any Group Classes (though it is appreciated), attendance is taken at the Class and fencers have the option to pay individually for each Class or club members can be billed monthly. With no required preregistration for Classes there is no cancelation policy.

FCMC offers Group Classes for all levels of sabre fencing, with each level having a different level of expectation, which is outlines in the specific Class descriptions. For all levels, fencers are expected to be on time, ready to fence at the scheduled start time of the class, to be attentive, and to be ready to learn and fence.

For competitive fencers, Group Classes are designed to be a supplement, not a replacement, for Individual Lessons and Open Bouting. For competitive fencers, there is a level of expectation that all three offerings are utilized.
LESSON Scheduling Policy
All fencers are welcome and encouraged to take private lessons, and they are offered for all skill levels in all three weapons. Lesson scheduling is managed through the Club's Acuity scheduling portal (links found in the CLASSES and LESSONS page). Lessons must be scheduled at least 2 hours in advance. It is the fencer's responsibility to show up and be ready on time for the start of a scheduled lesson. If unable to do so, the lesson may be shortened at the coach's discretion.

Any scheduled lesson that needs to be reschedule or canceled must be done by 2 hours before the scheduled appointment time, barring extreme circumstances. Failure to do so will result in being fully charged for the cost of that lesson.

In the event that the Club has to cancel Lessons or Classes, and email notification will be sent out at least 2 hours ahead, when possible. There will be no charge for Classes or Lessons that are canceled because of closure.
